Senior Quality Engineer

Requirements:

• We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer with experience in quality assurance and testing.
• We need strong experience with functional, system integration, UAT, end-to-end, regression, mobile, API, and production verification testing.
• We require hands-on experience with test planning, test case design, test execution, defect management, and root cause analysis.
• We need experience with automation and testing tools including Playwright, Selenium, Postman, Jira, Xray or Zephyr, and JMeter.
• We require strong knowledge of SQL, database testing, JSON, REST services, test data management, and log analysis.
• We are looking for experience with Git, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile or Scrum delivery environments.
• We need experience testing customer-facing web and mobile applications.
• We prefer experience in banking, financial services, payments, merchant acquiring, or merchant onboarding.
• We value knowledge of merchant services, payment processing, settlement and reconciliation, payment operations, and payment lifecycle management.
• We prefer familiarity with card schemes such as Visa and Mastercard, and ideally American Express and Diners Club.
• We are looking for someone with strong ownership, communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and collaboration skills.
• We need the ability to work effectively across UK and India-based teams.
• Experience supporting production releases, FOV testing, and incident investigations is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• We design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases across functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• We validate merchant onboarding journeys, our Accept application flows, payment processing, settlements, and terminal management capabilities.
• We execute testing across web, mobile, API, and backend systems.
• We prepare detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test execution reports.
• We perform API testing and integration testing across internal and third-party platforms.
• We support SIT, UAT, FOV, production releases, and post-release verification activities.
• We validate business-critical payment processing and settlement workflows.
• We perform data validation, reconciliation, and operational testing to ensure end-to-end integrity.
• We identify, log, track, and verify defects through to closure using Jira or equivalent tools.
• We collaborate with developers and engineers to improve quality and test coverage throughout the software development lifecycle.
• We support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to continuous testing practices.
• We participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and post-release reviews.
• We ensure adherence to our security, governance, risk, and compliance requirements.
• We participate actively in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
