Junior IT Support Technician

Salary: £23,000 - 26,000 per year

Requirements:

• A track record in a customer-facing role such as retail, hospitality, contact centre, front-of-house, or field service
• Genuine enthusiasm for a career in IT, such as self-taught tinkering, a home lab, certifications in progress, or a strong track record of picking up technology quickly
• A calm, clear, and friendly communication style, especially with non-technical people
• The ability to stay composed when someone is frustrated or under pressure
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
• A well-presented, reliable manner, with confidence representing us face-to-face
• Based within a reasonable commute of Cannock and able to travel to client sites across the region

Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for client support requests by phone, email, and ticketing system
• Troubleshoot everyday IT issues including PCs, laptops, printers, network connectivity, and Microsoft 365 accounts
• Travel to client sites for onsite work such as new PC and laptop setups, hardware installs and repairs, network equipment, and office moves
• Build and configure new starter equipment before deployment
• Log all work clearly and consistently in our PSA/ticketing system
• Escalate more complex technical issues to senior engineers with a clear, well-documented handover
• Represent us professionally at every client site

This is a junior, entry-level hybrid role based in Cannock / West Midlands, with regular travel across the West Midlands and Staffordshire. We offer full training and mentoring from experienced engineers, support toward industry certifications, a small close-knit team where your work is visible and valued, mileage covered for client site travel, a salary of £23,000–£26,000 depending on experience, and 20 days holiday plus 8 UK bank holidays and your birthday off if it falls on a weekday.
