Principal Platform Architect (OpenShift)

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• Commercial Red Hat OpenShift platform architecture experience is essential.
• Experience with enterprise Kubernetes platform architecture and platform lifecycle management.
• Experience designing, evolving, and governing production container platforms.
• Experience in platform engineering, microservices, and cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, CI/CD, and automation.
• Experience in hybrid cloud and/or on-premise platform environments.
• Experience with high availability, resilience, disaster recovery, and platform security.
• Experience working within large enterprise, managed services, or regulated environments.
• Applicants must be Sole UK Nationals and eligible to obtain SC Security Clearance; active SC is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the architecture and evolution of large-scale Red Hat OpenShift platforms supporting business-critical services.
• Define platform strategy and influence technical direction.
• Ensure enterprise OpenShift platforms remain secure, resilient, and scalable as they evolve.
• Solve platform-wide challenges and set architectural standards.
• Shape long-term platform strategy.
• Work closely with engineering teams to evolve enterprise platforms.
