Software Development Manager

Salary: £90,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an Engineering Manager or Development Manager
• Experience leading multiple software engineering teams
• Strong background in software delivery and release management
• Comfortable coaching Tech Leads and senior engineers rather than managing day-to-day development
• A solid technical background with the credibility to challenge and support engineering decisions
• Experience working within SaaS or software product environments

Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor a small group of Tech Leads
• Own delivery across multiple engineering teams
• Coordinate releases and ensure they are production-ready
• Work with Product and Engineering leaders on planning and priorities
• Manage cross-team dependencies and delivery risks
• Help develop engineering best practice and delivery standards
• Support hiring and the growth of high-performing teams

We are a software products company investing heavily in our engineering function, and we are looking for an experienced Development Manager to lead a group of engineering teams and help improve how software is delivered across the business. This is a fully remote role with a salary of up to £90,000.
