Azure Platform Engineer

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience designing and building Azure platforms.
• Experience with Azure architecture and platform design.
• Proven experience deploying Azure VMware Solution (AVS) would be beneficial.
• Strong VMware infrastructure experience, including ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, and NSX.
• Experience migrating or integrating VMware workloads into Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking, compute, storage, and identity (Entra ID).
• Experience with PowerShell and/or Azure CLI.
• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Experience producing technical documentation and following design standards.
• Experience implementing Omnissa Horizon in a hybrid Azure environment would be beneficial.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) would be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and implement enterprise Azure platforms from the ground up.
• Lead the deployment and configuration of Azure VMware Solution (AVS).
• Migrate and integrate VMware environments into Azure.
• Work with architects and technical stakeholders to ensure platform designs align with business and technical requirements.
• Support the implementation of a hybrid Omnissa Horizon environment within Azure.
• Produce technical documentation and contribute to platform best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and platform issues throughout implementation.

We are hiring for a fully remote Azure Platform Engineer on a 3-month contract. We are looking for an experienced engineer to support the design and build of a new Azure platform, with a strong focus on Azure VMware Solution (AVS) and hybrid infrastructure. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will work closely with architects to deliver a scalable, enterprise platform.
