Network Security Engineer

Requirements:

• Active SC Security Clearance is essential.
• Strong hands-on experience with F5, Zscaler, and Palo Alto security technologies.
• Experience with firewalls and network security.
• Telecoms industry experience is preferred.
• Advantageous experience with Check Point, Juniper, Bluecoat, Cisco Network Solutions, Cisco IPT, QoS, 802.1x, Infoblox DNS, switches, wireless, VPNs, and WAN routing protocols.

Responsibilities:

• We will provide technical ownership of the customer security infrastructure estate, including processes, procedures, documentation, and lifecycle management.
• We will act as the technical point of contact and escalation point for security-related changes, modifications, and projects for firewall rule bases.
• We will provide technical support and change management for hard physical changes and soft remote changes.
• We will manage customer inventory, hardware, software, and end-of-life activities.
• We will be the technical point of contact for vendor support on security infrastructure incidents.
• We will design customer networks and support both high-level design and low-level design activities.

We are a global IT consultancy supporting a leading telecoms end client on a 6-month contract basis. This is a UK remote role with occasional travel to customer sites in Wokingham, Corsham, Farnborough, and Warwick. The contract is outside IR35 at £380 per day, with an expected start in July or August 2026. The vast majority of the work will be remote, and active SC Security Clearance is required.
