Requirements:

• Proven experience leading DevSecOps teams and practices
• Strong hands-on background across cloud, automation, and security tooling
• Experience delivering within UK Government or GDS environments
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to influence engineering standards across distributed teams
• SC Clearance is required for this role

We are hiring a Lead DevSecOps Engineer to support one of the UKs most significant Defence digital transformation programmes. This is a remote, 6-month contract with scope for extension, paying £645 per day inside IR35. You will play a highly visible role shaping DevSecOps standards and driving secure software delivery across a complex, multi-cloud environment supporting critical UK Defence capabilities. Our tech stack includes GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Argo Rollouts, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), HashiCorp Vault, Trivy, Grafana, Loki, Python, Bash, and AWS, Azure, and OCI.
