Cyber Security Governance Consultant

Salary: £80,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in cyber governance, risk and compliance (GRC)
• Experience delivering security consulting engagements
• Experience implementing or assessing controls against recognised frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, NIS, NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF), DORA, TISAX, or IEC 62443
• Experience conducting cyber risk assessments and governance reviews
• Experience developing security policies, standards, and procedures
• Experience building business cases and regulatory compliance roadmaps
• Ability to balance security, business risk, and operational practicality
• Must be a sole UK national
• Must hold active SC (Security Check) clearance
• Must have lived continuously in the UK for the last five years

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with clients to assess, design, and improve cybersecurity governance frameworks
• Provide strategic advice across cyber governance, risk, and compliance
• Carry out gap analysis against recognised security frameworks
• Conduct threat modelling, risk assessments, and mitigation planning
• Develop, review, and support security policy compliance
• Manage third-party risk and cyber resilience activities
• Support cloud and network security governance
• Address data protection, data loss prevention (DLP), and information security controls
• Support organisations through internal and external audits
• Develop security roadmaps and governance strategies
