Network Architect

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Network Architect, Lead Network Engineer, or Infrastructure Architect within a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Deep understanding of enterprise networking including routing, switching, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SD-WAN, DNS, and load balancing technologies.
• Strong experience with network security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, segmentation, and secure remote access.
• Knowledge of cloud networking across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments.
• Experience designing highly available and resilient infrastructure supporting business-critical services.
• Strong documentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Ability to influence technical decision-making at both engineering and leadership levels.
• Desirable qualifications include CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, or equivalent networking certifications.
• Cloud networking certifications within AWS or Microsoft Azure are desirable.
• Experience within regulated industries such as financial services, banking, payments, or fintech is desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Define and deliver network architecture strategies across a complex enterprise environment.
• Lead the design of scalable, secure, and resilient network solutions.
• Develop and maintain enterprise network architecture standards, roadmaps, and high-level designs.
• Design and govern complex LAN, WAN, cloud, and hybrid connectivity solutions.
• Lead network architecture for major technology transformation and infrastructure projects.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to improve performance, resilience, security, and scalability.
• Define network security requirements, including segmentation, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and remote access solutions.
• Produce architecture documentation and present solutions to architecture and governance forums.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering and delivery teams throughout project lifecycles.
• Support capacity planning, resilience strategies, and disaster recovery requirements across the network estate.
