Cisco Meraki Network Engineer - UK

Salary: £98,800 - 104,000 per year

Requirements:

• We have hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki SD-WAN and DMVPN, including direct configuration experience with Meraki Cloud.
• We bring 2-4 years of experience working in large enterprise client environments.
• We understand network design principles, the TCP/IP stack, the OSI model, and IEEE 802 standards.
• We have strong troubleshooting skills in a large, multi-vendor enterprise environment.
• We have hands-on knowledge of IPsec fundamentals, including IKEv2, PSKs, tunnel monitoring and health checks, and primary/secondary behavior.
• We have experience working in repeatable rollout patterns across multiple sites, including templates, runbooks, per-site validation checklists, and strong documentation practices.
• We understand best practices for network deployments across venues, offices, and client locations.
• We have front-line operational support experience in live entertainment or venue-based environments, including hyper care scenarios, rapid issue resolution, and out-of-hours support.
• We can provide both hands-on technical solutions and project management support, and we can deliver training.
• We are proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Visio and Excel.
• We have strong oral and written communication skills.
• We are flexible with working hours.
• Experience with Cisco Meraki and Cisco Catalyst, LAN/WAN, wireless, and SD-WAN environments is required.
• Experience configuring and supporting Zscaler ZIA/ZPA is required.
• A background supporting patch compliance, network security, and infrastructure hardening initiatives is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• We independently lead deployments, new builds, and expansion projects across corporate offices, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures.
• We manage the full lifecycle of network equipment, including procurement, configuration, implementation, documentation, and decommissioning, while ensuring compliance with design standards.
• We contribute to the design and configuration of LAN/WAN infrastructure, wireless, and SD-WAN environments using Cisco Meraki and Cisco Catalyst.
• We support the growth and stabilization of network infrastructure by assisting with the design, configuration, and rollout of new regional sites and integrations.
• We partner with global IT and cybersecurity teams to improve patch compliance, strengthen network security, and support infrastructure hardening initiatives.
• We configure, support, and maintain Zscaler ZIA/ZPA.
• We take ownership of complex troubleshooting across all layers of the OSI model and coordinate with ISPs and internal stakeholders to restore service quickly and accurately.
• We recommend tooling, automation, and documentation improvements to strengthen visibility and uptime across all environments.
• We provide hands-on support during hyper care and urgent operational incidents, including out-of-hours issue resolution where required.
• We deliver training and support process adoption across project and operational teams.

We are offering a 6-month contract for a Cisco Meraki Network Engineer, starting as soon as possible, with fully remote working available in the UK or Poland. This is an inside IR35 role for UK-based candidates and a payroll-based arrangement for Poland-based candidates. We are seeking someone to join a dynamic environment supporting enterprise network deployments, infrastructure growth, and operational stability across corporate offices, regional sites, and venue-based environments. Our team works closely with global IT and cybersecurity stakeholders to improve security, compliance, automation, and service reliability across a multi-vendor network estate.
