Quality Assurance Engineer

Salary: £30,000 - 52,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in software development, full life cycle, and quality assurance; applicants from diverse backgrounds and industries encouraged.
• Knowledge of software processes including national and international standards and assurance requirements.
• Auditing experience would be advantageous.
• Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues across all programmes.
• Collaborative but objective approach with the ability to influence change when required.
• Ability to lead Project Quality Assessments, identify risks and critical issues, and provide recommendations to monthly reports.
• Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
• Remain calm under pressure and cope well with unexpected changes.
• Work independently as part of a functional and integrated team.
• Ideally have an Engineering Degree or equivalent experience, with an understanding of new and appropriate technologies or proven experience.
• Experience or knowledge of configuration management, documentation, and requirements management systems is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain software quality by following procedures and guidelines.
• Assist UK Engineering Directorates software teams in missile programs to ensure high-quality weapon systems reach global partners.
• Collaborate with the wider QA community at MBDA to improve QA skills.
• Build relationships with colleagues across all programmes.
• Lead Project Quality Assessments, identify risks and critical issues, and provide recommendations to monthly reports.
• Communicate effectively and adapt to unexpected changes.
