3rd Line Security Analyst - Hybrid - Reading

Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• Substantial experience in a SOC, cyber operations, or security engineering role
• Hands-on expertise with Sentinel, Defender XDR, and CrowdStrike
• Experience in incident response, malware analysis, forensics, and threat hunting
• Advanced KQL skills and experience with PowerShell and/or Python automation
• Knowledge of Entra ID, Conditional Access, Intune, and Microsoft 365 security
• Cloud and networking knowledge, plus familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and SANS frameworks
• CISSP is desirable

Responsibilities:

• Act as a senior technical authority in Security Operations, improving security engineering, detection, and response while supporting the wider team
• Lead serious incidents, forensic investigations, and root cause analysis
• Develop detections, automation, and orchestration, and conduct proactive threat hunting
• Engineer Sentinel, Defender XDR, CrowdStrike Falcon, Entra ID, Intune, and Darktrace
• Support Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, identity, and endpoint security
• Maintain documentation, support compliance, and mentor colleagues

We are hiring a 3rd Line Security Analyst based in Reading, with a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days at home; the first month is full-time in the office. The salary is £50,000–£60,000.
