(Senior) Consultant Data & AI (f/m/d)

We have challenging tasks for you:

As a (Senior) Consultant Data & AI, you will guide our clients from the initial question to architecture and the concrete implementation of modern Data & AI solutions. You navigate confidently between consulting, architecture, and technology while taking ownership of key building blocks in our client projects.

It’s not just about implementing technical requirements. You challenge existing approaches, develop viable target visions, and help our clients anchor Data & AI sustainably within their organization and system landscape.

In detail, you will:

• Advise our clients holistically on Data & AI topics and co-create tailored solutions with them

• Design and evolve modern Data & AI platforms and target architectures—particularly based on Databricks as well as Azure or AWS

• Analyze complex business and technical requirements and translate them into viable architecture, data, and integration concepts

• Support our clients with topics such as Data Strategy, Cloud Data Platforms, Lakehouse, Data Governance, Analytics, and AI

• Independently manage workstreams or key project components while structuring and driving their execution

• Collaborate closely with business departments, IT, data teams, and management to align diverse requirements

• Prepare, evaluate, and make architectural decisions together with our clients

• Design and facilitate workshops, assessments, architecture sessions, and proofs of concept

• Mentor less experienced colleagues technically and functionally while actively sharing your knowledge within the team

• Co-develop best practices, standards, and reusable solution patterns for our projects

• Advise clients on evolving existing platforms regarding scalability, governance, performance, security, and cost optimization

• Support our sales team in client meetings, solution design, proposal creation, and the development of new project opportunities

What we are looking for

You enjoy structuring complex Data & AI topics, making technical decisions understandable, and developing sustainable solutions together with clients. You can work both conceptually and dive deep technically.

Ideally, you bring to the table:

• Several years of professional experience in data engineering, data architecture, Data & AI consulting, or a comparable role

• Sound experience in the design and implementation of modern cloud data platforms

• Excellent knowledge of Databricks and experience with at least one cloud platform, ideally Azure or AWS

• A very strong understanding of modern data architectures and concepts such as Lakehouse, Medallion Architecture, Data Mesh, or Data Products

• Experience in data modeling, data integration, and data governance

• Good knowledge of Python, SQL, Spark, or PySpark

• The ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into understandable and actionable solution concepts

• Experience in taking independent ownership of workstreams, subprojects, or larger work packages

• A confident demeanor when interacting with business departments, IT, and management

• Enjoyment in facilitating workshops and co-creating technical and strategic topics with clients

• A degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a comparable qualification

• A structured, self-reliant, and solution-oriented way of working

• Very good German skills and good English skills

What we would also be happy to see:

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or other modern Data & AI platforms

• Experience with Data Strategy, Target Operating Models, or Data Governance concepts

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and Cloud Architecture

• Experience with Machine Learning, GenAI, RAG, or AI platform architectures

• Initial experience in functional leadership or mentoring colleagues

• Experience in presales, proposal creation, or client development

• Certifications in the context of Databricks, Azure, or AWS
