Job Description

Salary: £80,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Advanced T-SQL development, including stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, query optimisation, and performance tuning
  • Experience with SQL Agent jobs, database troubleshooting, data modelling, and schema design
  • Experience with ETL development and integration tooling such as SSIS or equivalent
  • Experience with batch processing, data validation and reconciliation, and file-based integration processing
  • Experience with SFTP, automated file transfers, and large-scale data extraction and transformation
  • Experience with SSRS, Power BI, management information reporting, data visualisation, and automated report generation and distribution
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or Git, source control, release deployment, code promotion across environments, automated testing practices, and CI/CD principles
  • Experience with Python, PowerShell, Azure Data Factory, or Azure SQL
  • A working understanding of Exposure Management, Catastrophe Modelling, and/or Underwriting processes is advantageous
  • Awareness of portfolio modelling, pricing tools, and risk aggregation concepts is desirable
  • Familiarity with London Market insurance practices is desirable
Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for FPED, Moodys RiskLink/Risk Modeler, Verisk Sequel Impact, and related Exposure Management applications
  • Monitor and investigate failed runs, failed jobs, data quality issues, and production incidents
  • Develop and maintain SQL processes, stored procedures, automations, and data integrations
  • Support and own timetables relating to month-end reporting and aggregation activities
  • Support deployment, testing, and release management activities
  • Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support runbooks
  • Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual intervention and operational risk
  • Provide technical input into product backlog refinement, solution design, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with Analysts, Architects, and QA to support and deliver enhancements to Exposure Management systems
  • Monitor and maintain existing systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure optimal efficiency and uptime
  • Drive operational efficiency across Exposure Management by developing tools and proposing system enhancements
  • Create detailed knowledge repository documentation relating to key systems
  • Build close and collaborative relationships with the Exposure Management team
