Sr Lead Software Engineer - Public Cloud

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience building reliable, scalable, and stable enterprise applications using cloud-based technologies
• Experience in mentoring and coaching software engineers
• Desire to drive change and ability to adapt quickly to change
• Strong hands-on development skills to prototype technical solutions
• Degree or equivalent academic qualifications in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
• AWS and Terraform certification
• Proficiency in designing and provisioning applications on AWS Services, Terraform, and Sentinel
• Ability to own technology debt and tech modernization by balancing long-term and short-term design implications
• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership for the development and design of at least one public cloud project

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical guidance and direction to support our business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
• Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
• Contribute to our engineering community by advocating firmwide frameworks, tools, and Software Development Life Cycle practices
• Influence peers and project decision-makers to consider leading-edge technologies
• Work as part of an agile team to enhance, build, and deliver mission-critical foundational services for our Public Cloud Atlas product
• Tackle complex problem areas and develop solutions with the team
