Software Implementation Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - 40,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in business software implementation or systems migration
• Advanced Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with data migration, data mapping and data cleansing
• Experience importing and exporting data using CSVs or similar formats
• Experience with APIs, integrations or connecting different business systems
• Experience implementing ERP, estimating, purchasing, construction or operational software
• Understanding of workflows involving products, materials, suppliers, pricing, purchasing or ordering
• Experience testing and troubleshooting business systems
• Experience training and supporting non-technical users
• Previous experience with Priceworx would be a significant advantage
• Experience within construction, plumbing, mechanical services or a similar industry would be advantageous
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Ability to take ownership of a project
• Highly organised and methodical approach
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical colleagues
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across departments
• Comfortable working directly with senior management

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the implementation of Priceworx across our business
• Understand and document our existing ordering, pricing and operational processes
• Migrate existing data and processes from Google Sheets and other spreadsheets into Priceworx
• Clean, structure and validate data before and during migration
• Configure Priceworx to suit our business requirements
• Work with Priceworx and our internal teams to resolve implementation issues
• Test the new system thoroughly before and during rollout
• Ensure information transferred into Priceworx is accurate and reliable
• Train and support staff in using the new system
• Act as our main point of contact for Priceworx
• Manage and maintain the system following implementation
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and reduce manual administration
• Develop reports and management information from the system
• Troubleshoot system and data issues
• Continually review and improve how we use Priceworx as the company grows

We are hiring a full-time, permanent System Implementation Engineer on a hybrid working basis in Witton Gilbert, DH7 6JX. This is a hands-on opportunity to take ownership of a major systems project, shape how our new platform is built and used from the outset, and continue developing it as our business grows. We offer a salary of £35,000 to £40,000 per year, along with benefits including casual dress, company pension, free parking, on-site parking and profit sharing.
