Software Engineering Placement Programme

Salary: £26,000 - 26,000 per year

Requirements:

• Be studying in the second year of a degree that includes a year in industry, and be ready to start a placement in July 2027
• Be curious about technology and enjoy exploring or learning about new technologies through study, projects, or personal interests
• Be passionate about learning technical and non-technical skills
• Be excited to work from our Bristol office at least three days a week
• Bring a collaborative, team-oriented approach and enthusiasm for learning, growing, and contributing; coding experience gained through university or personal interests is welcome

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain production software for our internal and external customers
• Contribute as an active member of our agile product teams and support team goals
• Work with colleagues across disciplines to deliver value to our customers
• Take part in meaningful work from day one and contribute to work that makes a difference
• Work with other students to lead a project that creates positive impact
• Build technical and personal skills through mentoring, learning sessions, and events

Our 12-month placement is within our Technology divisions Software Engineering team and offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies, including AI, alongside software engineers, quality engineers, UX designers, business analysts, product specialists, product owners, and a Scrum Master. The programme focuses on making an impact, personal development, and a collaborative student project, with guidance from colleagues and a dedicated mentor. We are based in Bristol, London, Edinburgh, and Coalville and operate hybrid working across the organisation.
