Job Description
Salary: £67,000 - 107,000 per year
Requirements:- Demonstrable Java programming ability with some understanding of underpinning techniques.
- Object Oriented Design and Programming.
- Understanding of databases and query languages (SQL).
- Experience writing tests to a level of production code, using JUnit.
- Experience with Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, GWT, Gradle, Jenkins, Linux, scripting for CLI, CI/CD, tool automation, etc.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Working knowledge of public cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or Microsoft Azure.
- Inquisitiveness: digging into problems and solutions to understand the underlying technology.
- Autonomy: ability to work on a task and solve problems independently.
- Motivation: sets personal challenges and constantly looks to stretch oneself.
- Problem solving: recognition of problems and recasting difficult-to-solve problems in order to find unique and innovative solutions.

- Work alongside senior engineers to refine and break down stories into levels implementable by development.
- Develop and improve confirmation testing, including unit tests, API tests, and automation.
- Research projects and prototype future opportunities.
- Investigate new technologies.
- Optimise the development process through automation, in-house solutions, and open source solutions.
- Develop new skills by working with other members of the team.
- Use initiative to recognise areas for personal development and growth.
- Work with the Team Lead and Manager to identify training goals.
- Take part in technical discussions within the team.
- Identify and complete opportunities for self-training and external training.
- Contribute to the teams process of continual improvement.
- Provide responsive support to customer-facing colleagues.
- Analyse logs to identify issues and provide solutions.
