Senior Software Development Engineer, AWS CloudFront

Salary: £60,000 - 110,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• Experience in professional, non-internship software development
• Experience leading the architecture and design of new and current systems, including architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling
• Experience in development in the last 3 years
• Masters degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems, or strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
• Knowledge of web services technologies such as SOAP, HTTP, WSDL, XSD, and REST
• Experience bringing technology products to market in a fast-paced environment
• Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, or building complex software systems successfully delivered to customers
• Experience with written and verbal communication and presentation
• Ability to work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks
• Strong programming skills, preferably in Rust, C, or Java with 3+ years of experience
• Experience with low-level optimisations and eBPF
• Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through launch
• Experience building large-scale web services backed by cloud services, such as AWS
• Experience operating large-scale systems
