Senior ServiceNow Technical Consultant

Salary: £61,000 - 101,000 per year

Requirements:

• Several years experience in ServiceNow design and development, preferably in a consulting environment
• Scripting skills such as JavaScript, HTML and XHTML, XML, CSS, AJAX, AngularJS are highly advantageous
• Understanding of Service Management concepts, delivery assurance principles and procedures
• High level of knowledge of the ServiceNow application, ideally with experience building custom applications and integrations with other platforms
• PowerShell scripting skills
• Knowledge of JavaScript and MariaDB
• Ideally holds some ServiceNow certifications such as ServiceNow Certified Administrator, ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist, ServiceNow Application Developer, or ITIL Foundation
• Additional specialist ServiceNow experience or certifications in areas such as HR, CSM, FSM, Service Portal, CMDB, SAM, Discovery, ITOM, ITBM, or PPM would be an advantage
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present solutions to customers and senior management
• Strong customer service focus
• Ability to work as part of a team or individually to project timelines
• Pro-active, creative, and able to research solutions and make recommendations
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
• Ability to work from home and travel to client locations or work on client sites when required
• Must be eligible to meet UK Government and contractual personnel security requirements, including applicable residency requirements
• Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom
• Some roles may be subject to nationality requirements where necessary to meet security obligations

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a team of ServiceNow specialists delivering ServiceNow solutions to multiple customers
• Participate in client workshops and requirements gathering to build requirements and design solutions
• Advise on and make recommendations for proposed solutions
• Develop defined solutions in ServiceNow to a high standard of quality, including configuration, scripting, testing, demonstrations to customers, UAT and go-live support
• Mentor and train more junior team members
• Produce documentation and training material for implemented solutions
• Provide technical consulting services to clients
• Contribute to the design and delivery of technical solutions, including customising package-based solutions, data design and conversion, technically focused testing, and configuring technical infrastructure components
• Serve as a technical resource on the team
• Develop and demonstrate specialised knowledge and skills in ServiceNow as an enterprise solution
• Focus on designing and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform
• Provide guidance, thought leadership, and hands-on development to both client and internal technical resources
