Senior Data Center Engineer, Telecom Lead

Salary: £160,000 - 200,000 per year

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in data center infrastructure, telecommunications, or construction industries.
• 5 years of engineering experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Experience in a data center or similar mission-critical environment.
• Experience as a key contributor on ICT/Telecom design for large-scale data centers (40MW+).
• RCDD / CNIDP / CDCDP or equivalent certified professional.
• Experience working with external telecom vendors on telecom products and reviewing their specifications for applicability in ICT/Telecom design.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit or other 3D modeling software developing telecom rack and tray layouts.

Responsibilities:

• Work with internal telecom engineers and network designers to rationalize requirements into products, conceptual one-lines, and conceptual rack/tray layouts.
• Work with cross-functional disciplines across architecture, civil, mechanical, electrical, controls, security, and product development on top-level assembly integration of telecom infrastructure.
• Lead internal and external ICT/telecom product and data center design reviews across telecom, security, controls, and networking disciplines.
• Review construction-level drawings produced by internal and external vendors that document ICT/Telecom scope for program reference.
• Review and enable best practices for converged network allocations across all mechanical, electrical, and controls products.
• Work with senior-level engineers across all disciplines to develop integrated telecom communication designs at the product and top-level assembly state of a data center.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards, develop infrastructure improvements, and serve as an expert in the specialty.

As part of the Technical Infrastructure team, we keep our networks running and help make our product portfolio possible. This role is based in London, UK or Dublin, Ireland, and the compensation for Ireland includes EUR 110,000 - 112,000, a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
