Security Analyst - Cyber Security

Salary: £38,500 - 67,500 per year

Requirements:

• 4 years experience in a cyber security or information security role.
• Strong technical expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Defender Suite, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Purview.
• Proven experience managing vulnerability scanning and penetration testing programmes.
• Experience supporting ISO 27001 compliance and coordinating Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills across complex IT environments.
• Proactive approach to security, with a focus on continuous improvement and best practice.
• Experience leading or supporting security incident response and remediation.
• Strong reporting, analysis, and security metrics capabilities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and enhance our cyber security posture.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Administer identity and access management across Microsoft, Azure, AWS, and SaaS platforms.
• Implement and maintain Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Purview, and other security technologies.
• Lead vulnerability management and coordinate penetration testing activities.
• Secure Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
• Implement data protection controls, including DLP, sensitivity labels, and encryption.
• Manage security awareness training and phishing simulation programmes.
• Support and maintain ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, and Cyber Essentials Plus certifications.
• Produce security metrics, dashboards, and reports to inform security strategy.
• Lead and coordinate security incident response and post-incident improvements.
• Conduct third-party security assessments and manage vendor security assurance.
