SAP Developer

Salary: £50,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for an experienced IT professional with ERP ABAP development experience.
• You are educated to degree level or equivalent.
• You have good SAP R3 and ABAP programming experience.
• You have general knowledge of a wide range of IT technologies and activities, with specific knowledge of one or more technology fields.
• You have experience using formal systems delivery methodologies.
• You have experience delivering and supporting business-critical application packages within a large organisation.
• It would be an advantage to have knowledge and operational experience in the manufacturing and/or defence industry.
• It would be an advantage to have experience with CPS job scheduler, SAP Business Process Automation by Redwood.
• It would be an advantage to have in-depth knowledge of the required languages, applications, databases, or technologies.
• You understand IT and systems engineering disciplines, including requirements management, configuration management, change control, reliability analysis, and quality management.
• You have good written and oral communication skills.
• You are a team player with strong analytical thinking.
• You are innovative, customer focused, flexible, disciplined, organised, and self-motivated.
• You can manage multiple conflicting priorities and deadlines.
• You appreciate the need for controlled processes and standards.

Responsibilities:

• We support and maintain the full application life cycle and day-to-day operation of our ERP and business applications.
• We service new business requirements, configuration changes, and new stand-ups using industry best practice.
• We analyse new business requirements and support testing and integration with other applications to move data between systems.
• We analyse, enhance, develop, install, test, and modify enterprise-wide and specialist business applications.
• We work with other functional and business teams to deliver systems that meet business requirements.
• We work closely with staff and functional users to ensure systems and changes are delivered in a timely and effective manner.
• We work directly with the user community on bug fixes, service requests, approved changes, and new applications.
• We ensure the ongoing availability and productivity of our system solutions.
• We provide system support within published service levels, including break-fix response, resolution, and preventative maintenance.
• We provide out-of-hours support when agreed with the functional area.
• We ensure the integrity, availability, and security of information and systems.
• We carry out business analysis and requirements capture.
• We perform systems analysis, programming, and testing.
• We carry out data analysis and design.
• We deliver system implementation, including training, support, and problem resolution.
• We develop documentation for technologists and users.
• We analyse, design, code, test, implement, document, and support enhancements to our applications and interfaces.
• We monitor helpdesk and change control systems for incoming work.
• We update configuration and change management tools and keep system maps current.
• We work with vendors to deliver requirements and resolve issues.
• We may make occasional visits to other sites and customer or partner organisations.
