Job Description

Salary: £55,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We require current SC Clearance.
  • We are looking for experience in Linux/Unix administration and command-line troubleshooting.
  • We are looking for knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, and general networking concepts.
  • We are looking for experience with physical infrastructure such as servers, switches, routers, and cabling.
  • We are looking for experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware or VirtualBox.
  • We are looking for experience with public cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • We are looking for experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • We are looking for experience with Kubernetes deployment, cluster management, and container platform validation.
  • We are looking for knowledge of CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
  • We are looking for experience with automated infrastructure validation and testing within deployment pipelines.
  • We are looking for knowledge of Secure-by-Design principles, IAM, OS hardening, network segmentation, and infrastructure security.
  • We are looking for experience working within regulated or security-conscious environments.
  • Experience supporting compliance, assurance, or accreditation activities would be advantageous.
  • Experience testing infrastructure rather than solely software applications is preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • We design and execute infrastructure testing strategies across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
  • We ensure infrastructure and platforms are thoroughly tested and production-ready.
  • We analyse infrastructure architectures and requirements to identify test conditions, risks, and traceability.
  • We develop infrastructure-focused test strategies and plans covering environments, tooling, automation, governance, and entry and exit criteria.
  • We provision, validate, and maintain test environments alongside DevSecOps and engineering teams.
  • We design and execute functional, integration, regression, resilience, non-functional, and security-focused infrastructure tests.
  • We validate Infrastructure as Code, operating systems, networking, cloud platforms, and containerised environments.
  • We support Secure-by-Design principles and contribute to security assurance, accreditation, and compliance activities.
  • We collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to continuously improve testing practices and delivery quality.
