Principal Software Engineer Java Spring Boot AWS

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience within a financial services or Fintech environment
• Strong Java development skills including multi-threading and concurrency
• Experience with Spring Boot and microservices environments
• Good knowledge of REST APIs
• Good understanding of AWS
• Thorough understanding of software development and Computer Science fundamentals such as Object Oriented Programming, Data Structures and Design Patterns
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborative approach, with enjoyment of problem solving and interacting with clients

Responsibilities:

• Lead client projects, often long-term technical transformations
• Design, develop, and deliver a range of projects for clients
• Focus on migrating legacy systems to AWS
• Introduce CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments
• Provide engineering expertise and client-facing support
• Lead projects and contribute to continuous improvement of client systems
