Lead Software Engineer - AWS / GCP

Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year

Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to deliver system design, application development, testing, and operational stability for multi-tenant platforms
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods, with a focus on delivering tangible improvements
• Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle
• Understanding of agile methodologies, application resiliency, infrastructure cost management, and least-privilege security principles
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and experience working in a large-scale multi-cloud environment
• Experience with Java, Python, or Go

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot complex, large-scale cloud-native systems using creative approaches to overcome technical challenges
• Lead by example in delivering secure, high-quality production code
• Review and debug code written by others, and share knowledge to support and develop junior talent
• Identify recurring issues and drive elimination or automation of remediation to improve operational stability
• Lead evaluation sessions to assess architectural designs, technical credentials, and fit within existing systems and information architecture
• Drive adoption of modern software engineering practices and leading-edge technologies
• Contribute to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
• Enhance, build, and deliver secure, stable, and scalable technology products
• Lead delivery across multiple technical domains while staying hands-on with design, development, testing, and troubleshooting
• Help define and reinforce engineering standards that support firm objectives
• Partner with the team to improve operational stability through automation and thoughtful architecture
