Lead Data Scientist – Marketing Sciences

Salary: £80,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience in applied data science or analytics, including leadership or mentoring experience
• Bachelors, masters, or higher education degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or a related field
• Strong expertise in marketing analytics, including building Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) models using Meridian, Robyn, and/or PyMC; multi-touch attribution; and customer lifecycle modeling
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, PySpark, and dashboarding tools such as Power BI or Looker
• Experience running GeoLift tests, causal inference models, and other forms of experimental design
• Solid foundation in machine learning, statistics, and econometric modeling, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies
• Preferred experience in eCommerce, technology, or marketing
• Strong Python, SQL, and PySpark skills, considerable knowledge of test design, implementation, and reporting, initiative, and the ability to build strong working relationships

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with marketing teams and agencies to understand challenges and opportunities in eCommerce marketing
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of data science solutions that inform marketing strategy and execution
• Build Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), predictive modeling, lifetime value prediction, churn analysis, marketing attribution, and channel optimization solutions
• Partner with marketing stakeholders to test, learn, and optimize campaigns using experimental design and/or causal inference methods
• Create dashboards and data products that enable self-service analytics and real-time insights for marketing teams
• Drive data quality, model governance, and documentation standards across the marketing science function
• Manage end-to-end projects and mentor data scientists

Within Marketing Science, we build data-driven solutions using machine learning, causal inference, and experiment design to measure impact and make recommendations to the business.
