Junior IT & AI Support Engineer

Salary: £30,000 - 35,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for a recent graduate in Computing, Computer Science, IT or a related discipline, or someone with 1-2 years of experience in an IT Support or Helpdesk role.
• We want someone with enthusiasm, curiosity and a genuine passion for technology.
• We are looking for interest in Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies.
• We want someone who is friendly, approachable and confident communicating with colleagues at all levels.
• Ideally, you will have knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) or Active Directory, and Microsoft Intune, along with basic networking principles.
• Experience with PowerShell or Python, Microsoft Power Platform, Google Workspace or Google Cloud Platform, and AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or Perplexity would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with the Linux command line would be advantageous.
• Applicants must have the permanent right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities:

• We will have you provide first-line IT support across the business, troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues.
• You will set up and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices and peripherals.
• You will support Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Intune.
• You will create and manage user accounts, permissions and access requests.
• You will install software and carry out routine maintenance.
• You will maintain IT documentation and asset registers.
• You will support cybersecurity initiatives and device security.
• You will liaise with third-party IT suppliers.
• You will assist with IT procurement and equipment deployment.
• You will support business continuity and disaster recovery activities.
• You will research and evaluate emerging AI technologies.
• You will assist with the implementation and testing of AI solutions.
• You will support workflow automation projects.
• You will create user guides and training documentation.
• You will help colleagues adopt new technologies.
• You will keep up to date with the latest developments in AI and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
