IT Support Engineer

Salary: £25,000 - 30,000 per year

Requirements:

• Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong written communication skills.
• A genuine passion for IT and technology.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies including Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
• Experience in networking, including switches, VLANs, routing, wireless and firewalls, would be advantageous.
• Experience with VMware and virtualisation technologies would be advantageous.
• Experience with C#, .NET and ASP WebForms/WinForms development would be advantageous.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, reporting and database querying would be advantageous.
• Experience with IT ticketing and job management systems would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day IT support to users across the business.
• Install, configure and maintain PCs, laptops, software and peripheral devices.
• Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and server environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues.
• Set up new users, devices and system access.
• Maintain and support servers, infrastructure and business systems.
• Produce clear documentation for systems and processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability and security.
• Assist with the research, design and implementation of new IT solutions.
• Develop and enhance internal software using C# and .NET.
• Write SQL queries, reports and data extracts with a high level of accuracy.
• Work within the IT ticketing system to prioritise and resolve support requests.
• Ensure company procedures, health and safety requirements and environmental standards are followed.
