IT Solution Architect

Salary: £90,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience in solution architecture, application design, or infrastructure architecture.
• Strong understanding of enterprise, application, security, and network architecture principles.
• Experience designing and implementing solutions across Microsoft, Linux, and cloud environments.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and multi-cloud architectures.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective solutions.
• Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of architectural frameworks, modelling tools such as UML and ArchiMate, and IT service management best practices such as ITIL.
• Exposure to a broad range of technologies, platforms, and enterprise environments.
• Understanding of emerging technology trends and their application to business transformation and innovation.
• Experience working within regulated or compliance-driven environments.
• Hands-on experience designing and delivering cloud-based solutions in AWS and/or Azure.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies, such as TOGAF.
• Eligible for SC.

Responsibilities:

• Create high-level and low-level architectural designs to guide solution development across products, services, projects, and systems, including applications, technologies, processes, and information.
• Contribute to technology roadmaps, technical strategy, and architectural principles.
• Attend governance forums associated with ensuring solutions architecture assurance and compliance.
• Adhere to the principles, guidelines, standards, and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with our future-state architecture vision.
• Contribute to the creation of new standards and patterns.
• Work closely with product owners and product managers to ensure a robust architectural runway that can support future business requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Work closely with the Programme Management Office or project management office to ensure the execution of plans corresponds with what is being promised throughout the project or product lifecycle.
• Bridge business needs and technology by designing scalable, secure, and effective solutions across applications, systems, and services.
