IT Asset Management Lead

Salary: £44,000 - 84,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience leading or managing an IT Asset Management function
• Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and licence lifecycle management
• Experience using IT service management (ITSM) and asset management tools
• Demonstrable experience managing asset data accuracy, governance, and reporting
• Experience supporting audit, compliance, or supplier management activities
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Ability to coordinate across a wide range of stakeholders including technical teams, procurement, and finance
• Confidence managing complex asset environments and turning data into clear, actionable insights
• Proactive and detail-focused approach with a commitment to improving processes and maintaining high standards of control and compliance
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
• Basic DBS check is mandatory

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets across the organisation
• Lead the ITAM function, ensuring assets and devices are procured, tracked, issued, refreshed, and disposed of efficiently and securely
• Work closely with Service Desk, Field Support, Procurement, Finance, and technical teams to ensure the right assets are available at the right time
• Maintain accurate and reliable asset data
• Ensure strong governance across asset management processes
• Provide clear insight into asset performance, costs, and risks
• Support audits, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Help simplify processes and strengthen operational control
