Firmware Engineer

Salary: £90,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience in embedded software or firmware (SFIA levels 3–6); developing and senior engineers are welcome to apply
• Comfortable working in secure, regulated environments
• Must hold or be eligible to obtain MOD DV or eDV clearance
• Sole UK national; dual nationality is not eligible due to the sensitivity of the work

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and test embedded firmware for a platform or domain to be confirmed
• Work closely with hardware engineers as the lab and test environment is built in Malvern
• Support the first six months of research, with a view to delivering a proof of concept
• Collaborate with a small, focused team of two to three firmware engineers

This permanent Firmware Engineer role is based in Malvern and offers a salary of £50,000–£90,000, depending on experience and SFIA level. You will join a growing firmware team on a live research and proof-of-concept programme, with the possibility of a two-year build following the initial phase.
