Edge Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: £54,000 - 94,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require 5+ years of experience managing medium to large scale systems.
• We require the ability to travel 20-40%.
• We require French language skills.
• We value the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with multiple teams spread over a wide geography.
• We value a very high level of independence and resilience, with the ability to work remotely with little oversight and guidance.
• We value the ability to support our customers and advise them on hardware purchases, capacity planning, firewalls, and related needs.

• We value previous experience with server hardware, such as Dell and HP, as well as network engineering in production data centre environments.
• We value solid practical experience with Linux OS, Linux administration, troubleshooting, and related tools such as LVM commands.

Responsibilities:

• We maintain availability of cloud and physical Kubernetes servers that power our platform in air-gapped production environments.
• We design, deploy, and operate infrastructure to support customer and product requirements through modern orchestration and monitoring platforms.
• We collaborate closely with product teams on requirements and SLOs for deploying software into air-gapped environments.
• We identify, troubleshoot, and solve network and systems issues.
• We script and automate routine operational tasks.
• We build, operate, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable production infrastructure.
• We deploy and manage physical bare metal servers in traditional data centers and edge environments.
• We develop robust infrastructure to ensure platform performance.
• We help build and scale new environments in a forward-deployed capacity, including onsite work.
• We participate in diagnosing, resolving, and preventing production issues across our most demanding deployments.
