Job Description

Salary: £61,000 - 101,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud computing, specifically Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Advanced expertise in data platform and warehousing design principles, including data collection and preparation.
  • Strong T-SQL skills for data transformation, analysis, and resolving complex data issues.
  • Experience in data modelling, including multi-dimensional, star schema, and governed models.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with senior managers and clinicians.
  • Ability to identify, analyse, and resolve complex data problems.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a numerate, analytical, IMT discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Commitment to continuous personal development.
  • Team building and leadership skills, including planning, organising, prioritising, and monitoring workstreams to time and budget.
  • Ability to convey highly complex concepts and data to staff at all levels.
  • Understanding of and commitment to business conduct standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and specialist expertise to design, build, and govern reusable data models.
  • Support operational reporting and statutory data submissions across the Trust.
  • Work collaboratively with Data Platform, Analysis and Reporting colleagues to deliver our cloud-based data platform vision.
  • Design, develop, and support solutions across our data platform, including data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, data models, deployment processes, and monitoring tools.
  • Help establish modern engineering practices and contribute to governed data products aligned with NHS standards.
  • Drive the design, development, and adoption of our platform using Azure Data Services, Microsoft Fabric, and data engineering principles.
  • Build effective working relationships across a wide range of Trust services as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Support our Commissioning function and ensure successful delivery of submissions to the Secondary Uses Service and other income-critical data flows.
  • Help safeguard Trust revenue through reliable and timely data submissions.
