BMC Helix Engineer

Requirements:

• Active SC Security Clearance
• Strong hands-on BMC Helix ITSM experience in large-scale enterprise environments
• Experience with Helix migration and implementation projects
• In-depth expertise in BMC Helix ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, Asset, Service Request, and Knowledge
• Experience designing and building integrations with third-party platforms via BMC Helix iPaaS and REST/SOAP APIs
• Experience configuring and maintaining BMC Helix Discovery for CMDB population and CI relationship mapping
• Experience with SLAs, OLAs, automation rules, escalation policies, and approval workflows
• Experience using BMC Helix iPaaS / Integration Service, AR System workflows, Filters, Escalations, Active Links, and Smart IT configuration
• Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, and Bash for automation tasks
• BMC Helix Discovery (ADDM) and CMDB data modelling experience
• ITIL v4 Foundation certification preferred

Responsibilities:

• Lead the migration from BMC Remedy to a BMC Helix SaaS ITSM environment
• Design, build, and migrate an end-to-end BMC Helix ITSM solution covering Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Asset, and Service Catalogue management
• Design and build integrations with third-party platforms via BMC Helix iPaaS and REST/SOAP APIs
• Configure and maintain BMC Helix Discovery for CMDB population and CI relationship mapping
• Implement SLAs/OLAs, automation rules, escalation policies, and approval workflows
• Act as a technical escalation point, monitor platform health, and manage upgrades and patches

We are a leading global IT transformation business working on a large-scale Government project. This is a 6-month contract based in Andover with hybrid working, typically 3 days per week remote and 2 days per week on-site. The role is outside IR35 and offers up to £500 per day. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible, ideally in August 2026.
