Senior Engineering Lead - Business Account Experience

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong, hands-on technical experience with object-oriented programming languages and modern technology stacks, including REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and CI/CD pipelines; candidates will complete technical interviews to demonstrate their knowledge.
• Experience managing teams with a mix of front-end, back-end, and mobile engineers.
• Hands-on experience building direct-to-consumer or business products, with a strong sense of high-quality user experience.
• Nice to have: experience working on B2B products.
• Nice to have: familiarity with modern AI-assisted development workflows, including prompting, context structuring, skills and automations, and effective AI delegation; ability to scale these practices across a team while maintaining high quality.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of engineers, supporting their growth and enabling them to do their best work.
• Work with the Product Manager and team to shape the roadmap, set the technical and product vision, and deliver product goals robustly and at scale.
• Ensure the team is well-resourced, plans effectively, and can commit to and deliver its roadmap.
• Stay closely involved in technology and product work, set high standards for quality, and lead by example.
• Own the health and productivity of the team, fostering collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering leads and teams across Wise to align the teams work with our wider technical strategy.
• Own the hiring, growth, and development of the team and its impact at Wise.
• Lead and build the Business Account Experience team while driving its technical and product roadmap.
• Improve and build components that simplify how businesses manage their accounts.
• Optimise our core platform to support multi-product adoption and increase cross-currency volume.
• Guide first-time users through our Business account features to accelerate and streamline adoption.
• Build functionality that gives businesses greater control over their teams access and spending.
