Senior Database Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £29,000 - 60,000 per year
Requirements:- Expert knowledge of client migrations from different providers and client set-up processes.
- Experience of making effective decisions through the analysis of technical information and executing them.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in database development, management, and coding.
- Expert understanding of SQL and relational database design.
- Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, TSQL, Python, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
- Experience with .NET and/or Python is helpful.
- Must be prepared to travel for meetings and training as required.
- The post requires a DBS check.
- Develop the overall design and strategy of large-scale core client and data migrations, solutions, and delivery.
- Set the strategy for individual client migrations of external pension funds into WYPF from a technology perspective, including target platform and migration approach.
- Develop our own code and applications to keep WYPF industry leading in feature-rich code and services and provide our USPs in the marketplace, including our payroll and HMRC systems.
- Design, build, and maintain robust databases and systems, ensuring data integrity, security, scalability, and performance.
- Bring on new client data and set up payroll to ensure pensioners continue enjoying their benefits.
