Software Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £60,000 - 80,000 per year
Requirements:- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- A strong academic background, ideally with a 1st or 2:1 degree, or a PhD, in a numerate discipline
- Strong academic results, including A-level Maths and Physics
- Experience developing and maintaining complex, real-world software systems
- Strong understanding of clear, efficient software design
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Linux systems, including configuration and administration
- Experience with some of the following: C/C++, Python and/or MATLAB, HTML/JavaScript and GUI development, Git and/or Subversion
- Eligibility to undergo UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance
- Hold a valid British passport
- Have been resident in the UK for the past 10 years, subject to the applicable clearance requirements
- Work independently on our own projects while also supporting, mentoring and leading junior developers
- Develop novel signal and image processing applications
- Develop secure Cross Domain Solutions
- Build user interfaces using Java or HTML/JavaScript
- Support and train customers in the use of our software
- Mentor and lead other developers

We are a software team based in Guildford, Surrey, working on challenging and innovative projects across software development, signal processing, image processing and secure systems. This is a permanent, full-time, fully office-based role in our Guildford office, where we work five days a week. Clearance sponsorship will be provided where required, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
