Desktop Support Analyst - London

Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require at least 5 to 8 years of proven expertise in Desktop Support.
• We require experience in hardware builds for both PCs and servers.
• We require experience with software installations and upgrades.
• We require experience handling login permissions.
• We require experience training users in the use of software.
• We require experience with Cisco and Microsoft platforms.
• We require in-depth knowledge of Cisco, including firewalls, switches, and routing protocols.
• We require in-depth knowledge of supporting data-centre and branch inter-connectivity.
• We require strong technical skills.
• We require experience with Cisco multi-layer switches and routers, including 6500s.
• Cisco certification is ideally required, preferably CCNP.
• We require experience with VLAN segregation.
• We require experience with McAfee HIPS and Trend Micro.
• We require experience with centralised authentication services (AAA).
• We require experience with SafeNet Ethernet Encryptor.
• We require understanding of technologies including DMZ, VSS, failover, OSPF, and high availability.
• Security certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• We provide desktop support to around 130 users across several countries in Europe, with the majority based in the City of London.
• We work as part of the Service Support Team.
• We operate a rota to cover core hours from 7.30 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday.
• We take control of issues and problems raised by users.
• We ensure issues are clearly documented and followed up with the appropriate action.
• We resolve issues within the Support Team.
• We handle hardware builds, software installations and upgrades, login permissions, and user training in software use.

We are an international bank with our European Head Office based in the City of London. This is a permanent full-time Desktop Support Analyst role with a salary of 45,000 to 50,000. The role sits within our Service Support Team and supports users across multiple countries in Europe, with most users based in the City of London. Our environment uses Cisco and Microsoft platforms, and the position covers core support hours on a rota basis from 7.30 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday.
