Software Firmware Engineer

Salary: £59,000 - 99,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience working with embedded hardware platforms such as STM32, Raspberry Pi or similar
• Familiarity interfacing with hardware using protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, USB or Ethernet
• Experience building SDKs, APIs or customer-facing software tools
• Experience with automation, testing and debugging workflows
• Ability to work closely with hardware, product and applications teams
• Exposure to GUI development, JavaScript, TypeScript or scientific instrumentation environments is advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Build software platforms, tools and SDKs that enable customers and internal teams to interact with our hardware
• Develop customer-facing applications, automation tools and evaluation platforms
• Work at the intersection of software, hardware and product development to bring complex technology into real-world use
