Principal Developer

Salary: £49,000 - 66,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Technical Lead.
• We are looking for someone with deep understanding of coding best practices and modern architectural patterns, including microservices and message-driven architectures.
• We want experience developing applications with non-functional requirements in mind.
• We need experience in application and digital services design.
• We require proficiency in software engineering practices such as code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and SOLID/DRY principles.
• We are looking for hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, React, Node, Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Kotlin is desirable.
• We want experience in estimation and sizing.
• We require experience in integration and API design.
• We are looking for proficiency in cloud technologies.
• We want an appetite to work with emerging AI technologies.
• We require SC eligibility.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership within a team to coordinate and deliver scalable, secure solutions in line with industry best practices.
• Work within a project management and agile delivery methodology to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of software applications.
• Take technical ownership of a product or software solution, covering design, estimation, shaping, and user story or requirement creation.
• Document solutions, including architecture, configuration, release, and support handover.
• Collaborate and liaise with stakeholders and end users throughout the software development lifecycle, including PMs, BAs, Testing, Product, and others.
• Clearly communicate technical designs in conversation, documentation, and presentations to stakeholders of various technical abilities.
• Provide effective knowledge transfer to team members and customers.
• Manage, coach, and develop junior members of our team and the wider community.
• Foster a positive working environment and facilitate team collaboration and communication.
