Data Architect

Salary: £30,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience as a Data Architect / Analytics Architect in large-scale environments.
• Hands-on architecture experience with Snowflake and/or GCP analytics platforms.
• Experience supporting analytics and AI/ML data products.
• Comfortable working with multiple delivery teams and stakeholders.
• Google Cloud Platform knowledge, including BigQuery, BigLake, Dataplex, and GCS.
• Snowflake Data Cloud experience.
• dbt experience, including modelling, testing, documentation, and CI/CD integration.
• Strong SQL and analytical data modelling experience.
• Data architecture experience supporting ML training and inference.
• Feature store or feature dataset design experience, conceptual or hands-on.
• CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, Helm, or equivalent.
• Experience with secure data access and consumption patterns.

Responsibilities:

• Define end-to-end data architecture across ingestion, storage, transformation, and consumption layers.
• Design and govern data models and data products on GCP (BigQuery/BigLake) and Snowflake.
• Provide architectural direction for analytics engineering, including dbt-based transformation layers.
• Enable AI/ML use cases by designing feature datasets, training data pipelines, and model consumption patterns.
• Ensure solutions meet data governance, security, and access control standards.
• Act as architectural authority, working closely with data engineers, analytics engineers, and platform teams.
