Head of Technology

Salary: £70,000 - 80,000 per year

• We are looking for someone who can assess complex or legacy technology landscapes and create a clear direction.
• We want someone with a genuine interest in AI, data, software and emerging technology.
• We need someone who knows the difference between technology that is exciting and technology that is genuinely useful.
• We are looking for someone comfortable challenging the status quo respectfully and constructively.
• We need someone who can translate business problems into practical technology solutions.
• We want someone who can create a roadmap and then actually deliver it.
• We are looking for someone who enjoys leading, developing and getting the best from a small team.

Responsibilities:

• We will have you join our Senior Leadership Team and take ownership of our technology strategy across software, AI and data, systems, processes, customer insight and team development.
• We will have you understand, challenge and create the roadmap for our mixed technology landscape of in-house systems, legacy platforms and subscription-based software.
• We will have you decide what to build or buy, what to keep, improve or retire, what to outsource, where AI can make a genuine difference, and how we can use data better.
• We will have you think through what our customers need today and what they will need tomorrow, and what technology will help us understand and serve them better.
• We will have you turn strategy into delivery.
• We will have you lead a small team covering development, systems support, email and web, while shaping their roles and the capabilities our business needs for the future.
