System Optimisation Lead

Salary: £38,500 - 67,000 per year

Requirements:

• We need candidates with experience in user acceptance testing, scaling up adoption, and hosting training workshops and refresher workshops.
• We need experience in organisational design, transformation, or change.
• We need demonstrated experience in leading technology-driven change or large-scale system implementations.
• We need experience delivering user training, coaching, and guidance on system functionality and best practices.
• We need strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Desirable: experience working within the public sector.
• Desirable: Orgvue knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities:

• We will support, implement, configure, and optimise business-critical systems across a range of transformation initiatives.
• We will be responsible for system functionality, working closely with business stakeholders, third-party vendors, and internal teams to ensure systems are operating effectively and delivering maximum value.
• We will provide training, guidance, and support to users and colleagues on system capabilities and best practices.
• We will lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing support of enterprise systems and applications.
• We will perform system upgrades, updates, patching activities, and configuration changes to keep platforms secure and optimised.
• We will act as the technical subject matter expert for assigned systems, providing guidance and best practice recommendations to stakeholders.
• We will troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve system issues across both front-end and back-end environments.
• We will liaise directly with third-party vendors and software providers to manage incidents, resolve technical issues, and maximise system functionality.
• We will review and optimise system performance, configurations, workflows, and integrations to improve user experience and operational efficiency.
• We will support testing activities, including system, integration, user acceptance, and post-implementation testing.
• We will deliver training, coaching, and user support to colleagues and business users to improve adoption and utilisation of system functionality.
• We will build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, technical teams, suppliers, and programme delivery teams.
• We will provide regular reporting, updates, and management information to stakeholders and project teams.

We are recruiting for a System Optimisation Lead for our government client on a 6-month contract inside IR35, with a salary/rate of £580-£680 per day. The role is hybrid, with 3 days per week on site and the remainder working remotely, based in either London or Leeds with no further flexibility on location or time on site. We operate through an Umbrella solution for this contract.
