Microservices Developer

Salary: £33,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience developing Java-based microservices in a commercial environment.
• Experience working in agile delivery teams, with a good understanding of iterative development and collaboration.
• Ability to contribute to technical discussions and decision-making, with a growing awareness of architectural principles.
• Experience supporting and mentoring junior developers, sharing knowledge and promoting good practices.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain microservices-based applications that are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Work closely with senior engineers, architects, and cross-functional scrum teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
• Apply established engineering practices and standards.
• Contribute to code reviews and actively participate in agile ceremonies.
• Take ownership of deliverables and troubleshoot issues.
• Continuously improve technical skills and understanding of the wider system landscape.
• Support junior developers and collaborate across disciplines.
• Contribute to the Community of Practice by sharing learnings and adopting best practices.
• Explore new technologies and approaches to help drive innovation and efficiency within the team.
