Job Description
Salary: £76,000 - 94,000 per year

- You should have strong experience of leading and developing teams.
- We are looking for commercial and business awareness.
- You should have experience in engineering management and delivery of project work packages.
- You must be able to manage complex situations with sound judgement and balance conflicting challenges.
- We are particularly interested if you have experience working with and supporting products throughout their whole lifecycle.
- We value experience in multi-disciplinary teams influencing design through DfX, especially Design for Supportability, Reliability, Maintenance, Testability, and Safety.
- We value experience implementing and undertaking Failure Modes Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMEA/FMECA).
- Knowledge of UK and international standards applicable to Safety and RMT would be beneficial.
- Availability analysis and modelling experience would be beneficial.
- A working knowledge of MS Office packages, PTC Windchill, Matlab/Simulink, Power BI, JIRA, and Python would be beneficial.
- We are keen to hear from you even if you do not have experience in all of the above, and a good attitude and willingness to learn is the most important skill.
- We will have you lead a team of Supportability Engineers delivering a wide range of Supportability Engineering work packages.
- We will have you work closely with Project Managers, Operations, and Project Engineering Managers within Integrated Project Teams to advise on Supportability requirements, provide analysis, and offer guidance.
- You will support and develop your team to deliver reliability analysis from component to system level, including Reliability Block Diagram methodology on electronic, power, RF, digital, and mechanical systems.
- Your team will create models to identify areas of concern and develop Reliability Growth plans and procedures to identify failure modes and propose corrective action.
- Your team will carry out maintainability analysis, including Human Factors and Maintenance Task Analysis, to identify Reliability Centred Maintenance and Scheduled Maintenance tasks.
- Your team will complete testability analysis, including FMECA, and work closely with Hardware engineers to establish fault detection and isolation effectivity and feed improvements back into design.
- Your team will carry out product safety analysis, including intrinsic product safety hazard and environment impact analysis, and provide input to the Hazard Log, Safety Case, and Fault Tree Analysis.
- Your team will analyse production and in-service failure data (FRACAS) to identify and prioritise pattern faults and support Root Cause and Corrective Action activities.
- You will help develop a products In-Service Support strategy using through-life cost modelling and the above analysis areas.
- You will ensure milestones are completed to schedule and budget while maintaining technical quality.
- You will provide expert input into Life Cycle Management reviews.
- You will work with the IPT to reduce cost and risk across the lifecycle and support continuous improvement activities.
