Associate Director, Research & Development Incentives - IT Specialist - Glasgow
Job Description
Salary: £95,000 - 130,000 per year
Requirements:- Hold at least a Bachelor level degree in an Information Technology related field such as Computing, Computer Science or Software Engineering, or have equivalent practical experience; industry certifications will also be considered.
- Have developed technical expertise in at least one area of technology and/or software development.
- Be a strong communicator with good interpersonal awareness skills.
- Be able to work within multi-disciplinary teams and take responsibility for the technical aspects of R&D claims on behalf of companies from a variety of sectors.
- Be technologically curious, with a critical engineering mindset and the ability to apply appropriate scepticism.
- Be well-organised, able to manage multiple projects and handle conflicting demands in a timely manner.
- Conduct technical interviews and prepare documentation to support R&D tax claims.
- Analyse technical data and documentation from clients to support the planning and development of R&D claim methodologies.
- Summarise technical interview output into documentation for a non-technical audience.
- Work within a project team to ensure appropriate costs linked to the clients technical activity are captured within R&D claims.
- Prepare clear reports for submission to HMRC explaining how clients R&D claims have been prepared.
- Provide technical input into marketing and sales activity based on your area of technology knowledge and experience.
- Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture.
- Project manage a variety of projects at any given time and delegate and work with technical and finance teams around you.
