SC Cleared Network Engineer - Cisco & Palo Alto

Requirements:

• Active SC Clearance used within the last 12 months
• UK-based
• Highly accomplished Network Engineer with strong and recent experience in Cisco switches and firewall setup
• Experience configuring and administering Palo Alto firewalls
• Experience with VPN design, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Experience supporting and maintaining on-premise server infrastructure
• Ability to work autonomously and confidently
• Experience working with internal server infrastructure teams and external third parties such as Mitel telephony providers

Responsibilities:

• Set up Cisco switches and firewalls, including rules
• Configure Palo Alto firewalls and VPNs
• Manage and administer Cisco network switches
• Create, implement, and test firewall rules and security policies
• Support and troubleshoot network, connectivity, and security issues across the estate
• Support and maintain on-premise server infrastructure
• Work closely with internal Server Infrastructure teams
• Coordinate with external third parties, including Mitel telephony providers
• Support a mixed infrastructure environment with servers hosted on-prem rather than in the cloud

Our leading services client is urgently seeking an SC Cleared Network Engineer to support a Control Room set-up project. This is an onsite role in London, five days per week, on a day-rate contract inside IR35. The project is initially for three months, with strong potential for renewals through to April 2027. We are looking for someone who can work autonomously within an existing engineering team and contribute to a mixed on-premise infrastructure environment.
