Job Description

Salary: £30,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We are looking for proven commercial experience developing in C.
  • We require 5+ years of software experience, or equivalent, ideally at silicon or networking companies.
  • We value repeated evidence of technical leadership in the successful delivery of complex and challenging software products.
  • We need the ability to write high-quality code with keen attention to detail.
  • We require direct experience with Linux kernel and virtualization development.
  • We value proven experience writing device drivers for the Linux kernel.
  • Experience with hardware and peripheral configuration, user-space applications, bootloaders, and U-Boot is preferred.
  • Experience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers, source code control systems, and profilers is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, SDN, and filesystems is preferred.
  • We need effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • We value motivating leadership and strong interpersonal skills.
  • We require a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
Responsibilities:
  • We work with our architecture specialists to improve future products.
  • We apply a data-minded approach to target optimization efforts.
  • We stay informed of software and hardware trends and innovations, especially related to algorithms and architecture.
  • We demonstrate proven experience writing and maintaining high-performance drivers for the Linux kernel.
  • We design and develop new groundbreaking AMD technologies.
  • We submit driver changes to the upstream Linux kernel.
  • We participate in new ASIC and hardware bring-ups.
  • We debug and fix existing issues and research more efficient ways to accomplish the same work.
  • We develop technical relationships with peers and partners.
