AI Lead

Salary: £54,000 - 94,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience developing and delivering AI strategy
• Knowledge of the latest AI tools and the ability to apply the right tool in the business
• Experience with ChatGPT and Copilot, as well as other AI tools such as Claude
• Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across technical and non-technical functions
• Experience building business cases, evaluating technology options, and recommending appropriate solutions
• Understanding of AI governance, risk, security, and responsible adoption practices
• Leadership experience with the ability to guide specialist technical teams while maintaining a business-first focus
• Experience managing AI engineers who are hands-on building AI tools and solutions
• Bonus: experience leading AI adoption programmes at enterprise scale
• Bonus: data, analytics, or digital transformation leadership experience

Responsibilities:

• Define and drive our AI strategy
• Act as the bridge between technology and the business
• Help senior stakeholders understand where AI can create value
• Establish governance and best practices for AI adoption
• Lead a small team of AI Developers
• Support the evaluation of technology options and the recommendation of appropriate solutions
• Guide the organisations adoption of AI across the business
